At the National Retail Federation Convention (NRF) today, Intel showed off an interactive, 7-foot-6-inch intelligent digital signage concept. Intel envisions future in-store digital signage solutions will enable customers to use multi-touch holographic screens to explore merchandise, submit feedback on products, and share their discoveries with friends via social media on their mobile phones. The demonstration will be on display at NRF January 11-12, 2010. Separately, Intel and Microsoft today announced a strategic relationship to develop an open-standards development platform for digital signage applications.
